Due to the current situation in the world in connection with the spread of coronavirus infection COVID-19, the twin city of the capital of Ukraine Budapest asked everyone who was interested in joining the Light4U project.
Kiev hoteliers supported the initiative of their Hungarian colleagues and on April 15 lit the inscription “4U” in the windows of empty rooms. In particular, the following hotels joined the action: Prem’r Palace, Park Inn by Radisson, Kyiv Troyitska, Radisson Blu Hotel, Kyiv Podil City Center, President Hotel, Tourist.
Light4U is a joint project of the Budapest Municipality and Hungary Hotel and Restaurant Association. Its purpose is to draw attention to the fact that cities and residents can overcome this crisis together, acting tolerantly and with sympathy for each other. The light and attention that people give each other, give hope and strength to many in this difficult time.
On March 30, with the onset of night, the message “4U” appeared in the windows of empty rooms in Budapest hotels. With this gesture, Budapest expressed its solidarity with other cities that are also experiencing a crisis from the coronavirus pandemic.
